There are two types of tinnitus: Subjective Tinnitus- you are the only one who can hear the noise. Objective Tinnitus- You here the noise, and your physician can also here it through listening instruments. Subjective tinnitus is when the sufferer is the only one able to hear the disturbing noises in the inner ear. The sound is described as a ringing, roaring, humming, pounding or a whooshing type of sound. These sounds are not the same for every person, but can vary from person to person, and are very hard to live with on a day to day basis. The sounds can be very distracting when working, communicating with other people or trying to sleep. Subjective tinnitus, although a very disturbing condition, is not considered to be an extremely serious condition, but can effect our quality of life, and also cause loss of hearing over the long haul. Objective tinnitus is similar to subjective tinnitus as it also includes the roaring, ringing, humming, pounding, or whooshing sound, and can defer you or distract you from other surrounding noises. The difference, as was said before, in the objective tinnitus, the sounds can be heard by a second party, and in the subjective the sounds are only heard by the person with the disorder. Objective tinnitus also called Pulsatile Tinnitus, and is named as such because the ringing sound will be in rhythm with the beat of the heart, and is considered to be a more serious disease. Long term use of certain drugs can also be a possible cause of this condition. There is a lot of help for tinnitus options, but everyone is different, and reactions will vary among individuals.
Not everyone with tinnitus will respond to pharmaceutical treatments or natural products formulated for this disease, so it is important to explore all available options to see what works best for .

You may have gone to your doctor, asked if there is a cure for tinnitus, and the answer that you would get is that no, there is none.
